DMER Haryana Warns Private Nursing Colleges on Fee Overcharging

Haryana- The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana, has issued a strict directive to all private nursing institutions in the state, mandating adherence to the government-approved fee structures for the academic session 2024–25. This applies to courses including B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, ANM, GNM, and MPHW(M).
Through a public notice, the Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Haryana has informed all the students, their parents and the management of nursing institutions that the fee structure for BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, M.Sc Nursing and ANM/GNM/MPHW (M) courses for the academic session 2024-25 have been notified.
This notice has been issued after it came to the notice of the department that some nursing institutes are charging excessive fees from the students for the said courses, which is completely against the provisions of the Haryana Private Science Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Fee and Maintenance of Academic Standards) Act, 2012.
Hence, it is directed through the notice that all private nursing institutes shall ensure strict compliance with the fee structure of B.Sc Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing/M.Sc Nursing and ANM/GNM/MPHW(M) courses notified by the government shall not charge any additional fee to the students.
However, non-compliance with the directions will lead to strict action against the institutes as per the provisions of the Haryana Private Science Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission, Fixation of Fee and Maintenance of Educational Standards) Act, 2012.
Prior to this, DMER Haryana has released the fee structure of BSc Nursing, Post Basic BSc Nursing, and MSc Nursing Courses in Government Colleges of the State. The fee structure has been released on the official website of DMER Haryana.
The DMER Haryana is contributing to society not only by providing tertiary level health care services but also developing huge human resources in the form of doctors and paramedics, who are in future, going to strengthen the health care services in the state, country and worldwide. Not only health care service but also to develop an atmosphere of research for the upcoming Medical students is the priority, so that new heights of development in the medical field would be achieved by this department.
