PG Medical Admissions: DME Assam specifies documents for rural service candidates
Assam: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Medical Education Assam (DME Assam) has specified documents for candidates seeking admission into Post Graduate and Diploma courses in medical colleges in Assam and intend to serve in remote and rural areas.
This is for information to all concerned candidates that as per Rule 5(v) of the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma courses) Rules 2021, all candidates applying for admission into the Post Graduate seats under 50% Assam State quota requires to complete minimum 1 year if service in remote and difficult areas or rural areas in Assam under the Department of Health & FW Government of Assam/ NHM or Public authority/ agency created by the Government of Assam.
Accordingly, in reference to the rule 10(i) (b) of the above mentioned rule, candidates who are permanent resident of Assam but passed MBBS from outside the state of Assam or obtained equivalent degree from abroad having cleared NMC screening test are willing to join 1 year of rural service in the state of Assam are requested to submit the following documents along with the filled in format given below, in the drop-box available at the office of the undersigned (2nd floor, Room No.5) on or before 10th January 2022 during office hours, the notification uploaded on the official website of DME Assam reads.
No further application will be considered by this office after the last date of submission (i.e. 10th January 2022).
The Documents to be submitted are (self-attested):-
1. Permanent Resident Certifiate (PRC).
2. Pass certificate of MBBS or equivalent from the concerned university.
3. Internship completion certificate.
4. Assam Medical Council Registration certificate or NMC registration certificate.
5. Marksheet of NMC Screening Test (for Foreign Medical Graduate).
NB: Candidates are requested to visit the official website of this Directorate www.dme.assam.gov.in from time to time for any update.
