Rs 15 lakh for MBBS, Rs 20 lakh for PG medical, Super Speciality- MAMC introduces 1 year mandatory Bond service

New Delhi: The Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) has announced the implementation of a one-year mandatory service bond for all MBBS, PG medical and Super-speciality students admitted from the academic session 2025-26 onwards.
The bond polucy has been declared as per the directions of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
Issuing a notice in this regard, the institute referred to the office orders issued by the Deputy Secretary (H&FW), Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, dated 19.09.2024 and 25.02.2025, about the decision of the Competent Authority to introduce a one-year mandatory service bond for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) medical students (including super-specialty courses) admitted to medical institutions in Delhi under All India Quota and State Quota.
In view of the above, Mautana Azad Medical College, New Delhi has introduced the one-year mandatory service bond from current session .
Key Highlights of the Bond Policy:
Applicability: The bond policy is applicable to all UG and PG medical students (including super specialty courses)admitted from the academic session 2025-26 onwards in Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.
Bond Amount:
- UG Students: Rs. 15,00,000 (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only)
- PG/Super-specialty Students: Rs. 20,00,000 (Rupees Twenty Lakhs only)
The bond shall be executed at the time of Internship in the hospitals attached with Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. However all the students seeking admission is current session 2025-26 shall give an undertaking at the time of admission.
Mandatory Service Period:
AlI such students shall be required to serve for a minimum of one year in healthcare facilities of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi, immediately after completion of their course (including internship)
Forfeiture clause:
In case a student opts not to undertake the mandatory service, the bond amount shall stand forfeited and must be paid to the Government by the student.
Undertaking requirement:
In view of the approaching admission deadline (09/08/2025), all admitted students are informed of the Service Bond condition, and an undertaking confirming acceptance of the same must be given at the time of admission.
Submission Timeline for Executing Bond:
- UG Students: To submit the final Service Bond during their Internship Period in 2030.
- PG Students: To submit the final Service Bond during their course period in 2028.
Action to Be Taken:
This policy has been approved by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and shall be effective for all students admitted from the current academic session as per the decision of the government of Delhi.
