Scared of Failing NEET 2022, Tamil Nadu aspirant commits suicide
Chennai: In an unfortunate incident, a 19-year-old aspirant, scared of failing in NEET 2022, has committed suicide. The candidate was found hanging from the ceiling of his house.

NEET is the only entrance examination for MBBS and BDS admissions to a medical/ dental college in India. Each year, lakhs of candidates who aspire to become doctors appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. In 2021, over 16 lakh had appeared for the exam. This year, the number has increased to 18 lakh.
The candidates have been demanding postponement of the exam, however, the education ministry has dismissed any chances of deferment.
Meanwhile, even though the aspirants are keen on deferring the exam, the NTA (National Testing Agency) has released advance Intimation for Allotment of Examination City to the Applicants of NEET 2022.
National Testing Agency is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) at different Centres located in 546 cities throughout the country and 14 Cities in Outside India on 17 July 2022 (Sunday) from 02:00 P.M. to 05:20 P.M.
