Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police recently arrested two persons, including the former driver of a doctor, for allegedly threatening and trying to extort money from the medical practitioner.
This comes after the doctor working for a private hospital in Banjara Hills registered a case of extortion against his former driver and one other. The driver has been identified as a 30-year-old native of Mahabubabad district and his accomplice, a 31 year old from Sun City and a native of Visakhapatnam.
The doctor in his complaint mentioned that in 2017, he hired his driver and helped him financially. He had also given him Rs 20 lakh for purchasing land in Warangal. However, the driver allegedly did not informing the doctor and ultimately absconded in 2018.
