Ahead of NMC visit, 28 Doctors deputed to Osmanabad college: Claims AIMIM MP
Aurangabad: AIMIM Aurangabad Member of Parliament (MP) Imtiaz Jaleel said at least 28 doctors from the different medical colleges in Maharashtra were being sent to Osmanabad ahead of a National Medical Commission visit there to start 100 seat capacity medical college.
Addressing media persons here Monday, Jaleel provided a list of the doctors and said the state health department was deputing 28 faculty personnel from four medical colleges in Aurangabad, Solapur, Latur, and Ambajogai to Osmanabad medical college.

This is being done as the National Medical Commission will visit the Osmanabad medical college in a few days, and the authorities need to show an adequate number of staff.
Instead of doing such things, the state government should fill the vacant posts immediately, he demanded.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the validity of the National Medical Commission's fee order making the fee of 50 percent seats in Private Medical Colleges & Deemed Universities at par with Government Medical Colleges would now be decided by the Supreme Court, which has already issued a notice in the matter.
While considering the plea filed by the Association Of Health Sciences Institutes (AHSI), the top court bench comprising of Justices DY Chandrachud and Hima Kohli had granted the National Medical Commission (NMC) two weeks for filing a counter affidavit in this regard.
