According to the police, the couple had some differences, and she self-administered a lethal injection at her house in KK Nagar, following a quarrel with her spouse on Thursday. The latter immediately rushed her to a private hospital in Vadapalani after that.
However, she was not able to respond to the treatments given, following which she passed away on Friday.
A case was registered by the KK Nagar police in connection with the incident, with the further investigation ongoing right now, reports the Dtnext.
The Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported about an incident in the Ganeshpeth area of Nagpur, where a doctor allegedly died by suicide after injecting an anesthetic drug. He used to work at the Kimaya Hospital for the last two years. The doctor was reported to have injected himself with an Atracurium Besilate Injection, which is a medication indicated for an adjunct to general anesthesia during surgery in order to relax skeletal muscles and to facilitate endotracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation to make way for breathing.
The cause of death has been stated as an overdose of atracurium (a neuromuscular blocker). His suicide note has blamed his wife, brother-in-law, and one more person. He injected himself at 2 am and died at 5 am while undergoing treatment," the Ganeshpeth police station official stated.
