Doctor booked in UP after nurse alleges repeated sexual assault since 2022

Sambhal: A nurse working at a private hospital in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district has accused a doctor of repeatedly sexually assaulting her since 2022. The doctor reportedly worked at the facility as a hospital administrator.

Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation, officials informed PTI.

According to Kotwali police station SHO Gajendra Singh, the FIR was lodged on March 20 based on a written complaint submitted by the nurse.

In her complaint, the nurse alleged that she had been employed at a private hospital in the Chaudhary Sarai area since December 2022 and was residing in a room on the upper floor of the hospital premises.

She accused the hospital administrator of repeatedly raping her over the past two years and allegedly threatening her with serious consequences if she disclosed the incidents

The complainant further stated that on February 10, 2025, the accused allegedly called her to the hospital, assaulted her, and forced her to consume contraceptive pills. Following the incident, she claimed to have suffered from health complications and severe mental distress.

According to the complaint, the victim later informed her mother about the alleged abuse. When her mother accompanied her to confront the accused at the hospital, both were allegedly verbally abused and forcibly driven out of the premises by the doctor and his father.

Police confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused, and further investigation is underway to verify the allegations and take appropriate legal action.
