Dr SN Medical College woman doctor found dead

Doctor dead
Jodhpur: In a tragic incident, a woman doctor from Dr Sampurnanand Medical College and Hospital, who was preparing for her postgraduate exam, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her hostel room.
Her decomposed body was discovered lying on the bed after a foul smell emanated from her room, which prompted the hospital management to inform the police. The police then reached the spot late at night and broke the door and entered the room. Preliminary investigation suggested that the body was at least two days old.
While it is still unclear whether the doctor died by suicide or if there was any foul play involved, police investigations indicate that the doctor had been suffering from schizophrenia and was undergoing treatment. She reportedly kept to herself and avoided social interactions.

The incident came to light on Tuesday evening after the hostelmates complained of a foul smell coming from the doctor's room. The deceased hailed from Sawai Madhopur and was a student of the 2014 batch. She had completed her MBBS about two months ago. She recently finished her internship and was staying in the hostel preparing for her postgraduate exam scheduled on 15 June.
According to the police, the doctor last spoke with her mother and brother on the phone on Sunday night, after which she may have taken the extreme step, reports Dainik Bhaskar. Some students in the hostel stated that the smell had been noticeable since Monday afternoon, but no immediate action was taken.
SHO of Shastri Nagar Police Station Zulfikar Ali told ETV Bharat, "The doctor had taken admission to the medical college in 2014, but she was able to complete the course in 10 years. As she failed in her exams repeatedly, it is suspected that she was in depression."
A case has been registered in this regard, and the police informed his family members, who arrived here on Wednesday. Upon their arrival, the police sent her body for a postmortem.
Further investigation is going on in this case, and the police are trying to find out the reasons for the suicide.
