Faridabad: In a tragic incident, a doctor running an eye clinic in SGM Nagar was allegedly attacked with a pair of scissors and robbed of Rs 1.10 lakh. Out of the total looted amount, the police have managed to recover Rs 70,000 so far.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident. They have been identified as Sunil Chaudhary, alias Sonu, and Robin Sharma, alias Ganju, both residents of SGM Nagar.

TOI reported that the attack took place on December 21 when the doctor was present at his clinic near Sharma Chowk. The two accused allegedly entered the clinic and began arguing with the doctor. When he objected, one of the men allegedly picked up a pair of scissors lying on a table and attacked him. Both accused then assaulted the doctor.
After the assault, the duo allegedly looted Rs 1.10 lakh from the clinic’s cash drawer and fled from the spot. Following this, the doctor filed a complaint agaisnt duo. Based on the doctor’s complaint, an FIR was registered at the SGM Nagar police station.
During interrogation, police found that the incident was linked to a property dispute. Sunil’s father had earlier approached the doctor to help sell his house, and the doctor had been sending prospective buyers. However, Sunil was reportedly against selling the property, which led to tension between him and the doctor.
According to the police, Sunil initially came alone to the clinic and argued with him. He later called Robin, after which they carried out the assault. While Robin allegedly assaulted the doctor with scissors, Sunil is accused of looting the cash.
Both accused were produced before a court and have been sent to two days of police custody for further investigation.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that a doctor from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) was brutally attacked by a banana seller with a pair of scissors in Bhangagarh.
