Gurgaon hospital assistant manager arrested for assaulting woman colleague
Gurugram: In a shocking incident, an assistant manager at a private hospital in Gurugram was arrested on Thursday for allegedly assaulting and harassing a woman colleague during duty hours, police said.
According to officials, the woman approached the Sector 50 police station and lodged a complaint alleging that her team leader misbehaved with her while she was on duty on June 25. She further alleged that the accused slapped her multiple times and pushed her during an altercation at the workplace.

In her complaint, the woman also alleged that the accused had previously behaved inappropriately with her and had repeatedly pressured her to resign from her job. Based on her statement, an FIR was registered under Sections 115(2), 79, and 74 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Following the registration of the FIR, the accused was taken into custody during the course of investigation. A police officer confirmed the arrest and said the accused, a 36-year-old man originally from Punjab, was employed as an assistant manager at the hospital.
Speaking to TOI, the official added, “The accused was taken into custody, and further investigation is underway. Statements of the concerned persons are being recorded.”
Officials said the investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings and evidence collected during the probe.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in a disturbing incident that has highlighted fresh concerns over the safety of healthcare workers, a second-year postgraduate (PG) resident doctor at Niloufer Hospital was allegedly assaulted by attendants of a child while on duty in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU).
According to the Telangana Junior Doctors Association (T-JUDA), the incident occurred after a child who had been shifted from the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) to an isolation ward during the recovery phase began crying excessively.
