Haryana Chief Medical Officer booked over sexual harassment allegations

Health Officer Faces FIR for Sexual and Caste-Based Harassment
Yamunanagar: A Chief Medical Officer (CMO) with the Haryana Health Department has been booked on multiple charges, including sexual harassment, stalking, and violations under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, following a complaint filed by a woman doctor working at a government hospital in the district.
According to news reports, the case was registered on September 22 at the Women’s Police Station after the doctor submitted a detailed report outlining repeated instances of harassment.
In her complaint, she alleged that the senior officer frequently used language that was “extremely offensive to any female employee,” and would often summon her to his office “without any professional reason.” The doctor stated that she often felt "scared and uncomfortable" when asked to meet him alone.
In addition to the allegations of sexual misconduct, the complainant further accused the officer of making casteist remarks against her.
