Homoeopathy doctor allegedly slits teacher's throat in Andhra Pradesh

Anantapur: A private school teacher was allegedly attacked and sustained a serious throat injury after a homoeopathy doctor allegedly assaulted her in Guntakal, Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.
Police have taken the accused into custody and registered a case in connection with the alleged attack. The woman, who is the wife of a railway employee and resides with her family in the Railway Quarters in Guntakal. She works as a teacher at Chaitanya English Medium School in Rajendra Nagar.
According to reports, the alleged assault took place on Thursday afternoon while the woman was travelling back to the school after returning home for lunch.
During the incident, the accused allegedly attacked the teacher and slit her throat. She was subsequently rushed to Guntakal Government Hospital, where she received medical treatment. Her condition was reported to be stable following the assault, according to Deccan Chronicle.
Reports indicate that the teacher had known the accused for around two years after reportedly undergoing homoeopathic treatment from him. Subsequently, the two became acquainted, but their relationship reportedly became strained in recent days following a dispute over money.
The alleged attack also followed a complaint that she had previously lodged with the police against the accused. In her complaint, she allegedly accused the doctor of behaving inappropriately towards her. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the earlier complaint and the subsequent alleged assault.
Following the incident, Two Town Circle Inspector Vamshi Krishna took the doctor into custody. A case has been registered in connection with the alleged attack, while police have begun investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.
Police suspect that the accused may have developed a grudge following the complaint. Further investigation is underway.
