Loss to Medical Profession, Loss to Indian Army: 29 year old Dr Kavita Meel succumbs to hear attack
Jhunjhunu: In a shocking incident, 29-year-old Major Dr Kavita Meel, daughter of the military-dominated Jhunjhunu district in Rajasthan tragically passed away due to a heart attack while serving in the army earlier this week.
The incident took place after she was transferred to an army hospital in the Rajouri sector of Jammu and Kashmir just three days ago after her death. On October 1st Kavita arrived at the camp in the morning after finishing her duty. Unfortunately, her health quickly deteriorated, and she was admitted to the hospital. Sadly, despite receiving medical care, she did not survive and passed away on the same day.

Earlier on Wednesday morning, upon the arrival of the mortal remains of Major Kavita at the Loharu border, hundreds of youth paid their respects through salutations. Subsequently, the remains were transported via the Tricolor Yatra to Sujdaula, passing through Ladunda and Dudwa. Individuals ranging from village elders to children were granted the opportunity to pay their final respects to Dr. Kavita and offer their salutations.
Following this, the final procession was conducted from the residence to the funeral site. MLA JP Chandelia, SDM Dayanand, Tehsildar Kamaldeep Poonia, Manoj Aladia, and other public representatives and officials presented a floral wreath in honour of the deceased.
Dr. Kavita Meel, after doing an MBBS from Government Medical College, Jhalawar, joined the Army as an officer from Army Kota. Just three months ago, she was promoted from Captain to Major in the Indian Army. Kavita not only became a doctor but was also successful in becoming a Major in the Indian Army.
Major Kavita Mile's father Kamal Singh Mile has also served in the Indian Army. Presently he is serving in the post of second-grade teacher in Government Higher Secondary School, Jakhoda. Mother Santosh Devi is a housewife. Elder sister Pinky is in the post of accountant in Malsisar Sub Divisional Officer's office.
As per a media report in Patrika, Kavita's elder brother wanted to become a doctor. He died in the year 2006. At that time Kavita was only 12 years old. After her brother passed away, she firmly resolved to become a doctor with the noble goal of preserving and protecting the lives of others.
On April 22 this year, Major Dr Kavita Mile married Army Major Dr Deepak Kumar. Deepak Kumar is currently posted in Bikaner.
