Maha: Female Dentist allegedly hangs self from ceiling fan
Aurangabad: In an unfortunate incident, a young female dentist allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her room on Tuesday noon at her residence in the Nakshatravadi area.
Police have secured a suicide note stating that no one should be blamed for the extreme step.
The deceased doctor has been identified as a 28-year-old dentist serving in a government dental college and hospital.
As per a recent media report in the Times of India, on Tuesday, the family members of the dentist broke into her room after securing no response from her and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan in her bedroom. By the time her family members saw the body, she had already passed away.
The dentist was rushed to the GMCH where she was declared brought dead. Satara area police were immediately informed who registered a case of accidental death and started investigating the matter.
Inspector Surendra Malale informed, "We received the information about the incident around noon. Our team rushed to the spot but by then the body was already brought down by the family members."
He further added, "We spoke to family members, including woman's parents and brother, but they have said that they do not have any complaint against anyone."
She is survived by her husband and a three-year-old son. The couple was married for five years. Her husband is a medico with the pharmacology department of the government medical college and hospital (GMCH).
Times of India reports that police are suspecting that distance between the family members could possibly be one reason behind her drastic step.
