Nagpur Shocker: Retired woman doctor murdered by grandson
Nagpur: In a shocking incident, a retired woman doctor was allegedly brutally murdered by her grandson for denying to fund his studies in the USA.
The refusal of the 78-year-old doctor led to her cold-blooded killing at his grandson's hands, a senior police official told UNI on Tuesday.
According to the police official , Nitesh Panchbhai , an engineering student, wanted to go to United States of America (USA) and was demanding money from his grandmother, Devaki Bobde(78).

However, Devaki refused his advancement, which has triggered Nitesh, who later hatched a conspiracy to eliminate the doctor, reports UNI.
Devaki, a resident of New Nandanvan was on Saturday found murdered at her house with her throat slit, mouth stuffed and hand tied. Police told IANS Dr Devkabai Panchbhai 78, who retired from the Government Medical College, was staying with her sick husband on the ground floor of their residence, while their daughter and son-in-law and their son Nitesh on the upper floor.
The son-in-law had gone for a morning walk and on his return, found her lying in a pool of blood.
While Nitesh remained mum, investigation led to discovery of his involvement, and on questioning, he confessed to the crime, police said. He had gagged her with some cloth and then applied sticking tape to prevent her from raising an alarm before stabbing her with a knife.
Police said that they were closely watching activities of relatives of the late aged-woman. Upon interrogation, police found Nilesh Panchbhai was misleading them .
Nandanvan police , however, managed to foil his bid to divert the investigation and arrested him for killing his grandmother in cold blood.
