Police on lookout for doctor booked for allegedly molesting colleague in Malad hospital
Mumbai: The Malad police has launched a search operation to nab a doctor who has been booked based on a complaint by his doctor colleague who alleged that the medical practitioner molested her by touching her inappropriately in the hospital's office on Sunday.
Utterly shocked at the alleged misbehavior of the doctor, she narrated the incident to her colleagues who suggested her to approach the police. Soon, she lodged an FIR against the doctor at the Malad police station.
Subsequently, the police booked the doctor under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code for outraging the modesty of a woman. A case has been registered against the doctor under Section 354 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for 'Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty, reports Free Press Journal.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported a similar case where a 25-year-old female doctor accused two of her colleague-doctors of repeatedly approaching and touching her inappropriately in the doctors' room and demanding sexual favours from her. All these doctors were a part of the medical team at the Jumbo COVID-19 facility in Pune.
