Amritsar: An Amritsar-based pathologist Dr. Anupreet Kaur has been crowned the first runner up of the Mrs. India World 2020-21 pageant. She has won the title of Beyond Beauty India 2020-21 as well as the pageant.
Dr Kaur will now represent India on a global platform along with the other winners of the contest.
The doctor has not only been brought up in a family of doctors but she also is the wife of Dr. Shahbaz Singh, Director of the Amandeep Hospital.
Dr. Kaur had done her schooling at the DAV Public School. Blessed with a gorgeous height of five feet four inches, the medical practitioner had not only been good in her studies, but she has the expertise in Kuchipudi dance also. She has bagged the honor among the 56 semi-finalists of the contest.
Basking in the glory of the moment, the medico told The Tribune India how hard she had worked to reach her destinations. With an aim to empower women and help them gain the confidence to display their real beauty and wisdom, the medico shared her experience with the daily.
She said, "It's a moment of great pride to have shared the stage with several accomplished women and win the pageant."
Commenting on how she took her first step towards the glamour world, the medico told the daily, "I never really took it seriously and when virtual auditions for the pageant were organized due to Covid-19, I thought of trying my luck."
Giving all credit to the family members for this life-altering experience, the medico cum beauty queen informed the Tribune India, "It was only due to the love and support of my family, especially my husband that I was able to win. Constant endeavors, a positive frame of mind throughout the competition and adapting to the fashion industry were the key elements that helped me win the competition."
Congratulating the doctor, Techies Infotech wrote on Twitter, "Many Congratulations to Dr. Shayna on becoming 1st Runner up of Mrs. India World 2020-21. Your rocking performance made all the judges go gaga over your confidence! Keep shining!"
