Quack caught operating unauthorised children's clinic

Fake Doctor
Bhadohi: A man posing as a doctor has been booked for allegedly treating patients using a fake medical degree at his private children’s clinic and hospital, which has now been sealed for not being registered with the government.
According to the police, the accused did not possess any valid medical qualification and the degree he presented was found to be fake. What is more shocking is that he was running a children's clinic, putting the lives of several newborns and infants at risk.
An FIR was lodged late Monday night against the fake doctor, who ran the Govind Prabha Clinic and Baby Centre in the Abholi area.

The case came to light after the health department received complaints about the clinic. When Deputy CMO Ashish Dubey visited and investigated the place on October 25, 2025, he found that both the doctor and the clinic were operating fraudulently.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Santosh Kumar Chak told PTI, "No registration record of the hospital was found with the health department, and the degree he presented was found to be fake."
Following the inquiry, the clinic was sealed, and the medical superintendent of Duraganj Community Health Centre, Shubhankar Srivastava, was directed to file a police complaint, the CMO said.
Local police station in-charge Ajit Kumar Srivastava said an FIR has been registered against Yadav under sections related to cheating and impersonation, as well as provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act, for practising medicine without authorisation.
Medical Dialogues had previously reported that Cachar Police in Silchar arrested a fake doctor, the alleged leader and the prime accused, for allegedly running one of the biggest fake medical degree racket in Barak Valley. The accused, identified as Jayanta Prashad Das, was known to many as “Dr JP Das." He has been alleged to have cheated people for years by pretending to be a doctor and issuing fake medical certificates to others.
