Hailing from Haryana, the doctor had the examination in Panchkula on December 9. Hence, he boarded his metro train from Ballabhgarh and died of a cardiac arrest before reaching ISBT. The crowd inside the train alerted the metro authorities after they noticed the doctor had collapsed inside the train. According to the metro train officials, the doctor was given CPR by an unknown person in the train before he was taken out.
Acting on the report, the station controller reached the platform and removed the doctor from the train with the assistance of security personnel. Immediately, they rushed him to the nearest hospital in Moolchand where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Speaking to TOI, Anuj Dayal, principal executive director of corporate communications, DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) said “A medical emergency was reported at 5:54 pm. The station controller promptly reached the platform and the unconscious passenger was evacuated with assistance from security staff and passengers."
“The station controller immediately sent the passenger to Moolchand Hospital at 6 pm where he was declared brought dead. He was accompanied by a colleague and a customer facilitation agent from Delhi Metro,” said DMRC.
The deceased is survived by an elder brother and two sisters. He was completely healthy and had no health complications as per an India posts report.
