Surat Physiotherapist jumps to death from 9th floor of cafe

Surat: In a tragic incident, a 28-year-old physiotherapist allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the ninth floor of the Business Hub building in Surat’s Sarathana area.
The incident has left the community shocked, particularly because her engagement and wedding were scheduled for January 2026.
According to the news reports, the deceased woman arrived alone at a rooftop café around 8:00 PM on November 21. Staff stated that she appeared normal when placing her order for tea, followed by a bottle of water and a glass. She then spent approximately 20 minutes talking on her phone. When a café employee returned from the kitchen, he saw her walking toward the railing. Within seconds, she climbed over and jumped, resulting in her instant death due to the impact.

The cafe reportedly held emotional significance, as she often visited the cafe with her fiancé.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, and police continue to probe all possible angles to determine the cause behind the young woman's tragic decision.
