Telangana leads in Doctors' production, MBBS seats: Health Minister Harish Rao
Siddipet: Telangana Health Minister, T Harish Rao, proudly declared that the state is a front-runner in the production of doctors.
Speaking during the inauguration of the newly constructed Sriranganayaka Swamy B Pharmacy College in Ramancha, Chinnakoduru Mandal, Siddipet district on Monday, alongside Education Minister Ms Sabitha Indra Reddy, Minister Harish Rao revealed that Telangana has achieved the remarkable feat of providing 22 MBBS seats per lakh population.

He commended the swift establishment of the college within just eight months, offering a comprehensive range of educational institutions in Siddipet, including Medical College, Agriculture College, Veterinary College, Pharmacy College, and Nursing College.
Minister Rao emphasized the remarkable development that has transformed not only Siddipet but also every corner of Telangana. He pointed out that Telangana proudly holds the top position in the country in grain production.
Drawing a contrast with the past, he noted that during Chandrababu's tenure as Chief Minister, it was solely synonymous with IT. However, under Chief Minister KCR's leadership, agriculture has flourished alongside IT, making significant strides in both domains. Telangana currently ranks as the leader in IT products and has seen IT job opportunities surge from 3 lakh to 10 lakh since its inception.
Highlighting another achievement, Minister Rao stated that Telangana is the only state in India that offers uninterrupted 24-hour electricity, a stark contrast to the power situation in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state of Gujarat.
Minister Rao emphasized that while the government is committed to the state's development and welfare, opposition parties appear preoccupied with criticism. He pledged to continue pushing forward with such positive initiatives and announced plans to expand exhibitions from Hyderabad to all districts, underscoring the contribution of exhibition societies to women's education.
Minister Sabitha acknowledged Minister Harish Rao's dedication in the establishment of B Pharmacy College and expressed confidence in the state's model of development, as she revealed plans for a future women's university set up by Chief Minister KCR.
The program was attended by Medak MP Kota Prabhakar Reddy, ZP chairperson Roja Radhakrishna Sharma, local public representatives, and exhibition society members.
