Tragic car accident on Delhi-Dehradun highway claims life of MBBS Intern, injures second-year PG Medic
Muzaffarnagar: In an unfortunate incident, an MBBS intern of Muzaffarnagar Medical College, lost his life on the spot, while his companion, also a doctor (second-year postgraduate medico), sustained grave injuries after the car they were travelling in collided with a tractor-trailed on the Delhi-Dehradun National Highway.
The deceased has been identified as Vivek Yadav (38), son of Kamlesh Yadav, a resident of Oriya, Itawa Road, who was an intern at Muzaffarnagar Medical College after completing his MBBS. While, his fellow doctor, Arjab Dan (30), is a second-year postgraduate student, who suffered severe injuries in the accident.
Upon receiving the information, the police transported the injured to Muzaffarnagar Medical College, from where he was referred to Delhi for further treatment. The deceased's family members arrived at the scene, and the police have dispatched the body for post-mortem. The station in-charge, Akhil Chaudhary, stated that the accident report has not been filed yet.

Upon learning about the incident, the deceased's uncle, Rajiv Yadav, told Amar Ujala that Vivek Yadav, the deceased, had a younger brother who is currently in 10th grade, and their father is involved in the hotel business. Dr Kirti Goswami, an MBBS doctor at Muzaffarnagar Medical College, explained that Vivek Yadav, the deceased, was interning after completing his MBBS, while the injured doctor, Arjab Dan, is a second-year postgraduate student.
A case has not yet been registered.
