Haryana CM launches health initiatives, offers cashless treatment in 569 empanelled hospitals for 1340 diseases
Chandigarh: In a move to enhance healthcare and well-being for the state's residents, the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal on Wednesday launched two healthcare initiatives, including an expanded 'Ayushman Bharat-Chirayu Haryana Yojana', that will benefit people with an annual income of up to Rs 3 lakh.
The initiatives were launched while celebrating the 58th Foundation Day of Haryana.
Expanding the Ayushman/Chirayu Scheme, the Chief Minister extended its coverage to families with an annual income ranging from Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3 lakh. Formerly it was confined to families with an annual income below Rs. 1.80 lakh, this extension now encompasses an additional 38,000 families, providing them with access to the scheme's benefits.
The second major initiative introduced was the launch of a cashless health facility for government employees, pensioners, and accredited journalists. This facility will offer cashless treatment for 1340 diseases across 569 empaneled hospitals in Haryana.

The initial phase incorporates 894 employees from the Fisheries and Horticulture departments, encompassing 1055 disease packages and 305 hospitals. Future plans include the extension of this scheme to other departments within the state.
The Chief Minister inaugurated both schemes at a meeting held at Chandigarh here today. During the meeting, he distributed Ayushman/Chirayu scheme cards to eligible families and launched a cashless health facility for the designated groups.
Present on this occasion include Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal, Chief Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V. Umashankar, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Dr. G. Anupama, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Deputy Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. K. Makarand Pandurang, CEO Ayushman Bharat- HHPA (Haryana Health Protection Authority) cum MD NHM(National Health Mission), Sh. Raj Narayan Kaushik and other senior officers.
