Fire breaks out at Hapur Hospital, patients and staff evacuated

Hapur Hospital Fire
Hapur: A fire broke out at a private hospital on Garh Road in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur on Monday, prompting a swift emergency response that ensured the safe evacuation of patients and staff. Fire officials said the blaze was brought under control without any loss of life.
According to the fire department, three fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the hospital after authorities received information about the incident. Firefighters quickly launched rescue and firefighting operations to prevent the fire from spreading further.
Fire Station Officer Mr Arshad Khan said the emergency teams rescued seven to eight people from the hospital premises, while the remaining occupants had already been evacuated before the arrival of the fire personnel.

Officials said the timely response by the fire department helped contain the blaze and ensured the safe evacuation of those inside the hospital. No injuries or fatalities have been reported in the incident so far, reports The News Mill.
The cause of the fire has not yet been disclosed, and authorities said further details are awaited.
The incident highlights the importance of rapid emergency response and evacuation measures in healthcare facilities, where the safety of patients, attendants and healthcare workers remains a priority during such emergencies.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that in a significant move, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has directed all states and Union Territories to conduct fire safety audits of all government and private health facilities under a special campaign and upload the findings on the 'Integrated Health Information Platform' (IHIP) by July 31. The special drive, which covers both public and private health care institutions, is to be completed by July 31, with the audit findings to be uploaded on the ministry's integrated health information platform, the letter said.
