MAMC launches cutting-edge Genetic Lab to tackle Rare Diseases

New Delhi: A major boost for healthcare in North India arrived today as Delhi CM Rekha Gupta and Health Minister Shri Pankaj Singh Ji inaugurated the cutting-edge Genetic Department and Lab for Rare Diseases at MAMC.
Slated to be one of the finest labs of its kind under MAMC, this facility is a testament to the remarkable efforts of Prof. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Professor of Medicine and a top physician of the country.

The lab is fully operational now.
This state-of-the-art Genetic Department and Lab for Rare Diseases at MAMC is a beacon of hope for countless patients and their families battling elusive conditions. Rare diseases often present a diagnostic odyssey, with patients enduring years of uncertainty, misdiagnoses, and ineffective treatments due to the complexity and lack of specialized facilities.
Medical Dialogues recently reported that the Delhi government's Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital is all set to launch two specialised medical units - a medical genetics ward and a nucleic acid amplification testing (NAT) facility, that will boost the hospital’s diagnostic services.
