Odisha: Kendrapara District Hospital gets 200 bedded new complex
Bhubaneswar: Bringing the good news to the people of Kendrapara District of Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has inaugurated 200 bedded new complex of District Headquarters Hospital through video conferencing.
The new complex will have a modern OPD Unit, casualty, trauma care, and Trauma ICU, Radiology, MRI CT scan, OT Complex, 15-bed SNCU, and 34-bed ICU.
Inaugurating the new complex, Patnaik said the new modern hospital will play a major role in bringing transformation in the health care system in the district.
The Chief Minister said lakhs of people are getting better treatment free of cost under the Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana eliminating the worries of the poor for treatment.
Speaking on the occasion Industries Minister Pratap Keshari Deb the Chief Minister has given special attention for the development of Kendrapara.
Food Supply and Consumer Welfare Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak said more than Rs 100 crore had been provided for the improvement of the health care system in Kendrapara.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that the Odisha government had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai for the establishment of a state-of-the-art Cancer Hospital at the NISER campus at Jatni near the state capital. Health and Family Welfare Department signed the MoU in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Director of Tata Memorial Centre Mumbai Dr. Rajendra Badwi and Special Secretary Public Health Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty signed the MoU.
The chief minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Department of Atomic Energy, and NISER for their support and cooperation with the upcoming Cancer Hospital. He said that this institution will be an excellent example of cooperation between private, state government, central government, and research institutions in the service of the people.
