Sheetla Medical College to start OPD services from Sep 23, says CM Khattar

Gurugram: In a review meeting on Sunday, Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar announced that the Shri Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College and Hospital in Gurugram will start the facilities in a phased manner, and in the first phase OPD facilities will commence from September 2023.

Following, there will be 650 regular beds, 30 emergency beds, 40 ICU beds, and 50 beds in the trauma center at the hospital, said Sudhir Rajpal, chief executive officer, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority.
Giving a presentation about this medical college and hospital, Sudhir Rajpal told HT that apart from having a pharmacy, the construction of the hospital will be done according to green building principles.
On this occasion, Sh. D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sh. V Umashankar, Public Safety Advisor to Chief Minister, Sh. Anil Rao and Chief Executive Officer of GMDA, Sh. Sudhir Rajpal were present.
Recently medical dialogues team had reported about JIPMER introducing new regulations for OPD services and teleconsultation. Further, the hospital also made it mandatory for patients visiting the OPD to maintain social distancing among themselves. Authorities are also taking initiatives to encourage patients and their attendants to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at the earliest, if not vaccinated already, as it has been proved fruitful against the Omicron variant of the virus as well.
