Stray Bulls enter UP Hospital's emergency ward, video goes viral

Mahoba: In a startling incident, two stray bulls barged into the emergency ward of a government district hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba on Wednesday evening, triggering panic among patients and their attendants. A video showing the animals roaming inside the ward has surfaced on social media, raising concerns over security arrangements at the hospital.
According to the news reports, the bulls entered the district hospital through its main entrance before making their way into the emergency ward, where patients were receiving treatment. While attendants managed to drive one of the animals out, the other continued wandering inside the ward, forcing patients and their relatives to scramble for safety.

Several patients reportedly got off their beds as their family members scrambled to protect them from the animals. The presence of the bulls in an area meant for urgent medical care raised fears that someone could be injured during the commotion.
Attendants eventually managed to chase the remaining bull out of the hospital. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
The incident has raised questions about how stray cattle managed to enter a critical treatment area without being stopped.
A visitor who had come to see a friend admitted to the hospital said he was present when one of the bulls entered the emergency ward.
Speaking to India Today, he described the animal running around inside the ward and feared that it could attack someone. With patients already unwell, an injury caused by the bull could have made their condition worse. He also questioned the availability of security personnel at the government hospital, particularly at night. The visitor said guards were supposed to be deployed at the premises but raised concerns about their absence during the incident.
He called for stronger security arrangements to prevent stray animals from entering the hospital and to ensure that patients could receive treatment without fear.
The incident has renewed concerns among local residents and patient attendants over the presence of stray cattle and dogs on the hospital premises. They claimed that such animals frequently roam around the facility, posing potential risks to patients, visitors and hospital staff.
The entry of the bulls into the emergency ward has also raised questions about access control at the hospital's main entrance and the effectiveness of existing security arrangements.
The incident also drew a political reaction, with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) criticising the Uttar Pradesh government over the state of hospital security and healthcare management.
In a post on X, the party took a swipe at the Yogi Adityanath-led government, describing the situation as “Bullrajya” rather than “Ramrajya”.
The party questioned how the bulls managed to enter the emergency ward, using the incident to criticise the state government’s handling of healthcare facilities. It also alleged that patients were being left vulnerable while their attendants were forced to deal with the stray animals.
Addressing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the party questioned whether responsibility for hospital management would be handed over to the bulls if health officials and the health minister had failed to ensure proper arrangements.
