Overall, it is the 19th hospital in Northern India that Ujala Cygnus. Before this, the group had set up its 18th hospital, its first 150-bedded super-speciality hospital in Srinagar, in August.
Under the Ujala Cygnus Group's latest project in Sitarganj, the SH Hospital will be upgraded into a Super - specialty hospital by providing world-class secondary and tertiary care facilities. The new entity will be known as Ujala Cygnus SH Hospital. The health services at this hospital will be taken to next level and the facilities will include Cardiology, Neurosurgery Nephrology & Critical Care units.
Mr. Probal Ghosal, Executive Chairman, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals said, "As a dedicated healthcare provider, we are engaged in a relentless pursuit of providing affordable and accessible healthcare services to the people in smaller towns and cities. While income levels are rising in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, the availability of quality healthcare has always been an issue and we are trying to fill that gap through collaborations and new projects. Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals will bring its own healthcare expertise and manage the day-to-day operations of SH Hospital."
Prior to this collaboration, the Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals operated 18 hospitals across India. Ujala Cygnus Group has strategically chosen Tier II and Tier III cities for expansion, in line with its long-term strategy of establishing a significant presence in smaller towns.
Commenting on the collaboration, Dr Shuchin Bajaj, Founder & Director, Ujala Cygnus Group of Hospitals, said, "We have a longstanding reputation of being a pioneer in providing state-of-the-art healthcare facilities in Tier-II and III cities. With our latest project in Uttarakhand, we will continue to provide highly affordable care without compromising on quality. We keep on acquiring the best medical equipment and engage the most experienced doctors in our hospitals. Over the past decade, we have been instrumental in improving the whole health infrastructure in smaller towns and cities, while serving the under-served populations in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi. In line with our goal to provide medical facilities in remote parts of the country, we have expanded our operations in the Kashmir, recently."
"This takeover in Sitarganj will take the medical facilities to a new level in the region. Since the town falls near the border of Uttar Pradesh and has a proximity to Nepal, people from these regions are also set to benefit from the excellent medical facilities after the collaboration," said
"We are delighted to have Ujala Cygnus Healthcare as our partner in taking our healthcare services to next level. Critical patients who had to be taken in big cities can get timely treatment here only now. The new service/facility will also increase the heart attack patient's chances of survival during the golden hour," said Dr. Sirazul Haque Mallik MD & Head of the dept Orthopaedics.
