Gland Pharma Signs Strategic MSA for 55 Injectable Products, Eyes USD 100M Annual Revenue Potential

Hyderabad: Gland Pharma Limited has entered into a strategic Manufacturing and Supply Agreement (MSA) with a leading global pharmaceutical company for the technology transfer, manufacturing and supply of a portfolio of sterile injectable products for global markets.
Under the agreement, Gland Pharma will serve as an integrated end-to-end partner for multiple products across different stages of the product lifecycle, including commercially marketed and pipeline products under development.
The collaboration follows a full-service contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) model covering technology transfer, process development, scale-up, validation, commercial manufacturing and long-term supply of sterile injectable products.
The portfolio includes a diversified range of oncology and non-oncology products in vial, lyophilized (lyo), ampoule and pre-filled syringe (PFS) presentations, covering both complex and conventional injectable formulations.
Under the agreement, Gland Pharma will leverage its capabilities across development, technology transfer, manufacturing, quality and regulatory support to provide an integrated solution to the partner.
The agreement is expected to provide long-term business visibility, with revenue generation anticipated to begin in calendar year 2029.
The current agreement covers 55 SKUs to be manufactured across three sites, with scope for adding more products in the future. Once all products are commercialized, the agreement is expected to generate an annualized revenue potential of approximately $90 million to $100 million.
Technology transfer activities are expected to be completed within two years, following which commercial manufacturing and supply are expected to ramp up.
The partnership is expected to strengthen Gland Pharma's position as a global CDMO partner for pharmaceutical companies seeking integrated development, technology transfer and manufacturing solutions for sterile injectable products.
“We are pleased to enter into this strategic collaboration. The partnership highlights the confidence global pharmaceutical companies place in Gland Pharma's development, technology transfer, manufacturing, and supply capabilities,” said Srinivas Sadu, Executive Chairman, Gland Pharma.
“The agreement provides meaningful long-term revenue visibility, supports expansion of our CDMO business, and creates a strong foundation for future growth. We remain committed to investing in the capabilities and capacity required to support our partner's evolving needs and ensure reliable supply to patients worldwide,” he added.
Established in Hyderabad in 1978, Gland Pharma has grown from a contract manufacturer of small-volume liquid parenteral products into an injectable-focused pharmaceutical company with a presence across around 60 countries, including the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia and India.
The company primarily operates under a CDMO and business-to-business (B2B) model and has capabilities in developing, manufacturing and marketing sterile injectable products.
Its portfolio includes vials, ampoules, pre-filled syringes, lyophilized vials, dry powders, infusions, oncology products and ophthalmic solutions.
