NPPA Sets Retail Prices for Cipla, German Remedies Drug Combinations

New Delhi: The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has fixed the retail prices of two pharmaceutical formulations, Donepezil and Memantine tablet manufactured and marketed by Cipla, and a Rabeprazole Sodium and Domperidone capsule manufactured by Ved Lifesavers (P) Limited and marketed by German Remedies Pharmaceuticals Private Limited.
The pricing authority has fixed the retail price of the Donepezil Hydrochloride 5 mg and Memantine Hydrochloride 10 mg combination at Rs 12.31 per tablet. Meanwhile, the retail price of the Rabeprazole Sodium 20 mg and Domperidone 30 mg combination has been fixed at Rs 7.47 per capsule.
Both prices are exclusive of the applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST).
The prices were notified through Order S.O. 4775(E), dated August 27, 2026, issued by the NPPA under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. The order was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), on August 27, 2026.
The NPPA exercised the powers conferred upon it under paragraphs 5, 11 and 15 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, read with S.O. 1394(E), dated May 30, 2013; S.O. 5249(E), dated November 11, 2022; and S.O. 3516(E), dated June 30, 2026.
The first formulation covered by the order is a film-coated tablet containing Donepezil Hydrochloride 5 mg and Memantine Hydrochloride 10 mg. The combination is manufactured and marketed by Cipla Limited, and the NPPA has fixed its retail price at Rs 12.31 per tablet.
The second formulation is a hard gelatin capsule containing Rabeprazole Sodium IP 20 mg in the form of enteric-coated pellets and Domperidone IP 30 mg in the form of sustained-release pellets. The formulation is manufactured by Ved Lifesavers (P) Limited and marketed by German Remedies Pharmaceuticals Private Limited. Its retail price has been fixed at Rs 7.47 per capsule.
