WBJEEB Begins Round 1 Counselling for BPharm Admissions 2026-27
Kolkata: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the counselling schedule for admission to Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. As per the official notification, the Round 1 counselling process will commence on August 7, 2026, with eligible candidates required to complete online registration, counselling fee payment, and choice filling within the stipulated timeline.
The counselling process is open to candidates eligible for admission to BPharm courses through WBJEE 2026 and JEE Main 2026 scores, in accordance with the board's admission guidelines. Applicants must register online, pay the prescribed counselling fee, fill in their preferred institutes and courses, and lock their choices before the deadline. Candidates are advised to verify all details carefully before final submission, as modifications may not be permitted once the choice-locking period ends.
Following the completion of registration and choice filling, the Round 1 seat allotment result will be announced. Candidates who receive seat allotments must pay the seat acceptance fee and report to their allotted institutes for document verification and admission within the specified schedule. Failure to complete these formalities within the prescribed time may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
The counselling schedule also includes subsequent rounds for candidates seeking seat upgradation as well as those who are not allotted seats in the first round. Fresh choice filling, seat allotment, and institute reporting will be conducted according to the round-wise schedule released by WBJEEB to ensure that all available BPharm seats are filled through a transparent online counselling process.
The Telegraph India reports that candidates should keep all necessary documents, including their rank card, academic certificates, identity proof, category certificates (where applicable), and other required documents, ready for verification during the admission process. Aspirants have also been advised to regularly check the official WBJEEB portal for notifications, schedule updates, and any changes to the counselling process.
The board has urged candidates to strictly adhere to the counselling timeline and complete every stage of the admission process within the notified deadlines to avoid losing their allotted seats. Additional counselling rounds will be conducted based on seat availability and candidate participation, as notified by WBJEEB.
