NITI Aayog to come out with 3 yr action plan soon- Keeps health in Focus

NEW DELHI: NITI Aayog will come out with three-year action plan within two months with a view to accelerate economic growth and make it more inclusive by focusing on the health sector.

“As much as three-fourths of the draft have been prepared and we will finalise it within two months after getting inputs from ministries,” a senior government official said.

The action plan will also take into account the impact of demonetisation on the economy, especially on informal sector.

Government has already decided to do away with the practice preparing annual budgets on the basis of five year plans from next fiscal. This is the terminal fiscal of the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17).

According to official, the three-year action plan is required for going ahead with long drawn strategy of development.

NITI Aayog has also been entrusted with the work on the 15-year Vision Document and a seven-year strategy which would guide the government’s development works till 2030.

The official said that the three-year action plan will not contain revenue projection for 2017-18, though it will have the details for 2018-19 and 2019-20.

“There are areas which require greater attention. If your revenue is rising then extra revenue can be spent on health sector,” the official said.

There is narrow gap between the NITI v/ AVA NITI. Pocking nose In other professional matters cab be a AVANITI.. it is better to include professionals of the same Field to plan, prepare before it\’s implemention. Take academicians rather than illleant , in experienced Beurocrates with basic B A degree, with out basic knowledge about the Medical field. I have come across such guys , talking nonsense and trying hard to implement their stupid acts, specially when it comes to the purchases . They prefer fools who can oblige their stupid acts. Keeping such persons to make policies in the Professional matters is nothing but a Disaster. That\’s why The MEDICAL profession , specially in public S/ Government sectors are at the receiving end, with out visible improvement. There huge difference between the private and Government sectors when it comes to quality of work. Despite given Autonomous status they interfere in each and every Aspects ,starting from Appointments to the purchases. There is a match fixing most of the times . THESE guys are good at tampering records, misinterpret and modify rules as per their whims and fancies ( Financial gains). Unfortunately no one oppose their wrong deeds. The corrupt Beurocrates are much more dangerous than the Politicians. That\’s why India for behind the Rest of world DESPITE HAVING best of Brains, the very same INDIAN PROFESSIONALS do much out side the country.

  2. MCI in the past always had these 3-5 yr. plans. but only changing at ground level will there be any action being implemented. our poicies remain on paper

NITI Ayog is a good-for-nothing machinery, a white elephant feeding on the pastures of public money, coming out with atrocious ideas ,which are neither relevant nor applicable.
It\’s has a huge nuisance value and can only cause relentless anxiety for the stakeholders.
It will also get the Government in trouble sooner or later.
