Govt Siddhartha medical college 1st year MBBS student dies in bike accident

Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, an MBBS student recently died in a road accident after he fell from his bike and sustained head injuries.
The deceased has been identified as a 20 year old first-year MBBS student at the Government Siddhartha Medical College in Vijayawada.
He was a native of Ramapuram village, near Srikalahasti in Chittoor district, Likith. He was staying in the college hostel.
According to the The Hindu news report, he fell from his motorcycle on Wednesday, sustaining head injuries. The police stated that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Likhit passed away on Friday while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Currently, the Patamata police registered a case.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that a 25-year-old Paediatrics student from Shimoga Medical College died in an accident inside the McGann Hospital campus in Shivamogga after the scooter she was riding collided with a water tanker. The deceased, a first-year Paediatrics student, was travelling from the hospital to the hostel when the incident occurred. Another student, a final-year MD student from Bengaluru, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation. A tragic accident occurred within the premises of McGann Hospital on Thursday, March 12, resulting in the death of a Pediatric PG student after her Jupiter scooty collided with a water tanker. Another student sustained injuries in the incident.
The injured student from JP Nagar in Bengaluru is a final-year MD student. The accident took place when both students were travelling from the hospital back to their hostel. According to reports, the scooty collided with a water tanker belonging to an individual from Kotegangur, which was being used to supply water for ongoing building construction work on the hospital campus.
