Specialist cadre of doctors being prepared in Haryana: Health Minister Anil Vij
Vij said that now whatever advertisement will be made for the recruitment of doctors, it will be according to the specialisation and added that by the next one month, 980 doctors will be recruited in the state.
Chandigarh: Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said on Wednesday that for the first time a specialist cadre of doctors is being prepared in the state for which a draft policy is ready and will be implemented soon.
He said that now whatever advertisement will be made for the recruitment of doctors, it will be according to the specialisation and added that by the next one month, 980 doctors will be recruited in the state.
The Minister said that adequate staff, medical facilities and equipment are available in the Government Civil Hospital, Meham and the repair of the building is already under ways.
Replying to a question raised during the ongoing winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here on Wednesday, Mr Vij said that one district civil hospital with 100 beds, two 50-bedded sub-divisional hospitals, community health centres and 17 primary health centres are functioning in Rohtak district.
Sub-Divisional Hospital, Meham, is a 50 bedded hospital in district Rohtak. Out of the total sanctioned 70 posts of various employees, 60 posts are filled and 10 posts are vacant. Medical facilities like labour room, emergency, operation theatre, X-ray, ECG, oxygen concentrator etc are being made available adequately, he informed.
The repair of the hospital building is already under process and a budget of Rs 96,08,000 for this was sent to PWD(B&R) on March 4, 2021. In addition, electrical repair work has been completed at a cost of Rs 17,48,000, he said.
Under medical facilities, OPD, IPD 24x7 labour room, emergency operation theatre, lab, family planning, vaccination, COVID-19 test etc are being provided adequately. Equipment like X-ray machine, ECG machine, Oxygen concentrator, Suction machine, Autoclave, Deep freezer, ILR, Radiant warmer, etc are also available and functional.
There is no shortage of staff. Out of the total sanctioned 70 posts, 60 posts of various regular employees are filled and only 10 posts are vacant. Through the departmental selection committee, 980 posts of medical officers are being filled on a regular basis and the advertisement of the said post is going to be published soon. The demand for various Paramedical posts has been sent to Haryana Staff Selection Commission which is under active process of recruitment.
