Alappuzha Accident: Condition of Injured MBBS Student Improves, says college
Kerala- Recently a brutal accident occurred at Changanassery Junction in Kalarkode, Alappuzha and the condition of the medical student who was the victim of the accident is now improving. This information has been given in the medical bulletin issued by Alappuzha Medical College Hospital.
In the bulletin, it has been stated that the condition of the surviving medical student who was critically injured in the accident at Changanassery junction in Kalracode of Alappuzha on Monday night is now improving.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the accident occurred after a van collided with a KSRTC bus. A total of 11 students were travelling in the van, out of which five died in the accident and six students were injured.
The bus was going from Vyttila in Ernakulam to Kayamkulam. After the accident, vehicular movement on the road was disrupted.
"Due to the impact of the collision, the car was destroyed completely, and the youths inside were taken out after breaking the vehicle," police sources had stated.
According to a New Indian Express news report, a student who is currently undergoing treatment at MCH has been shifted to Amrita Hospital in Kochi for further treatment. Other 4 students are undergoing treatment at the hospital and one other student who suffered minor injuries has been discharged from the hospital.
The state Health Minister Veena George earlier in a Facebook post identified the deceased as Srideep from Palakkad, Muhi Abdullah Jabbar from Kannur, Devanandan from Malappuram, Ayesh Shaji from Kuttanad and Ibrahim from Lakshadweep. "Due to the impact of the collision, the car was destroyed completely, and the youths inside were taken out after breaking the vehicle," police sources said.
