Maha veterinary doctor booked after woman alleges molestation
Solapur: The police have registered an FIR against a 56-year-old government veterinary doctor for allegedly molesting one of his woman colleagues by repeatedly playing a particular Bollywood song on his mobile phone and touching her inappropriately.
A veterinary doctor has been booked for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman colleague, whom he harassed by playing a particular Hindi film song on his mobile phone, in Maharashtra’s Solapur district, police said on Thursday.
According to the police, an offence has been registered against the accused under section 354 (assault or criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) after the woman, also a veterinary doctor, filed a complaint on Wednesday.

“Both work as veterinary officers, and as per the complaint, the accused was allegedly harassing the woman by repeatedly playing a particular Bollywood song on his mobile phone and had once touched her inappropriately,” said an officer from the Jodbhavi police station in Solapur.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that in a reported case of assault, a doctor and staff working at the Noida-based Post Graduate Institute of Child Health (Child PGI) had been booked by the police for allegedly assaulting a lab technician in the hospital. The complaint was filed by a 25-year-old technician at the District Combined Hospital, who alleged that a junior doctor and a staff of the Child PGI came to his console. Meanwhile, the video of the incident was recorded on the CCTV camera, which shows a woman gesturing and attempting to slap a man, and other people are shown to be having a heated discussion with him.
