Indigent and needy patients are financed through the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Room for the painful and expensive surgeries, he said.
Keeping up with its consistent performance, the ward has disbursed a total financial assistance of Rs 112.12 crore to more than 13,000 poor-needy patients in just 14 months, it said.
As soon as Eknath Shinde took charge of the post of Chief Minister, he immediately started the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Room, which was closed during the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi government.
Now getting the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund is even easier, people do not need to come to Mantralaya and can fill application form, CMMRF application, and get help, added Chivte.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported that medical assistance worth Rs 100 crore was given during this year through the Chief Minister's Assistance Fund Cell, setting a unique record itself, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said. The Chief Minister also appreciated the staff of the Chief Minister's Assistance Fund for achieving the milestone of disbursing Rs 100 crore last year. A cheque of Rs one lakh for medical aid was handed over to one Dharma Sonawane of Nashik in the hall of assembly by the Chief Minister himself, a press statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office stated.
