Tamil Nadu: The Madras High Court has recently directed the Central Government and the state government to file a response regarding the issue of granting 10% horizontal reservation to government school students for medical admission.
This came after the mother of a higher secondary student of Thanthai Periyar Government Higher Secondary School approached the court seeking its direction to instruct the concerned authorities not to conduct any counselling for medical admission till the dismissal of her petition.
