Punjab: Final year classes of Medical, Ayurveda, Dental, Nursing Colleges to begin from November 9
As per the letter, the Medical College, Ayurveda College, Dental College and Nursing Colleges falling in areas outside the Containment Zone will be reopened.
Chandigarh: The Department of Medical Education, Punjab today decided to start last year's classes of Medical College, Ayurveda College, Dental Colleges, and Nursing Colleges from November 9, 2020.
As per the letter, the Medical College, Ayurveda College, Dental College and Nursing Colleges falling in areas outside the Containment Zone will be reopened.
According to the letter issued by the department in this regard, the remaining years of classes will be started from November 16, 2020, and all the students will be required to produce a Covid negative test report from date November 6, 2020, or after.
Apart from this, the students who will attend classes from November 16, 2020, can attend the classes only on the production of a negative Covid report dated November 12, 2020 or of later date.
Department has also issued directions to ensure all those working in hostels and mess of these institutions are tested for Covid before being allowed to resume work.
Minister of Medical Education and Research Om Prakash Soni said all the colleges under the department will ensure compliance of instructions issued from time to time by the concerned Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Department, Punjab and Central Government so that any possible danger related to Covid-19 can be avoided.
