2 ESI Medical college Bengaluru students die in road accident

Krishnagiri: In an unfortunate incident, two medical students at ESI Medical College in Bengaluru lost their lives in a road accident after their bike lost control and crashed into a roadside billboard at Denkanikottai in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu.
Both students sustained severe head injuries and died on the spot. The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old from Chhattisgarh and 21-year-old from Rajasthan. The duo were studying medicine at the college.

As per TOI news report, the accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when the two were returning to Bengaluru on a bike after visiting Hogenakkal in the Dharmapuri district. Around 2 am, near the Om Sakthi temple at Denkanikottai, the bike lost control while taking a sharp turn and crashed into a roadside billboard.
Following the accident, the students died on the spot, and the passerby alerted the police. Later, the Denkanikottai police sent the bodies to the government hospital at Denkanikottai for postmortem.
A case has been registered in this regard, and an investigation is underway.
Medical Dialogues had previously reported that a trip with friends to Mahabalipuram claimed the life of a 21-year-old student studying Allied Health Sciences at Balaji Medical College, Chromepet, and left two allied health sciences students and two medical students from the same institute seriously injured after their BMW rammed into a firewood-laden lorry while they were travelling late at night on the Thiruporur-Kalavakkam road.
The car, which was badly crushed after hitting the lorry, was carrying five students, including two medical students. Another car, which was part of the trip, was also carrying five students.
