Siddha student found dead under mysterious circumstances in Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu: In a shocking incident, a final-year student of Shivraj Siddha Medical College in the Salem district of Tamil Nadu died under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday.
The student has been identified as a 22-year-old from Tirunelveli. She was living in a rented house near the college with her classmate. Her father, Varadaraj, had come to talk to her on Tuesday and then returned home.
The next day, on Wednesday morning, the student was found dead in her room, according to a police officer from the Salem Steel Plant police station. Her body was then immediately sent for a post-mortem examination at the Salem Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College and Hospital.
According to a TOI media news report, the police have registered a case and started an investigation.
Meanwhile, Medical Dialogues had recently reported that a third-year MBBS student at LN Medical College allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his residential building in Bhopal's Kolar area.
According to a preliminary police investigation, the student reportedly took the extreme step after suffering from depression. He was reportedly under severe emotional stress after his college classmate and girlfriend allegedly stopped communicating with him over the past three months.
The deceased was identified as a 21-year-old MBBS student who was living in a flat at Sagar Premium Tower, Phase 1, along with three other medical students. Each student occupied a separate room in the apartment.
The incident took place on Friday-Saturday night, when he had gone to meet the girl and allegedly told her that he was considering ending his life. Concerned by this, she later informed her friends and asked them to keep an eye on him.
