TN: Fourth-year MBBS student loses control over car, hits 4, booked

Chennai: A fourth year MBBS student has been booked after she lost control of her car and crashed it on the Outer Ring Road leaving 4 people injured on Sunday evening. At least five bikes that were parked near the road were also damaged in the mishap.

The medico has been identified as a medical student of a private university and a resident of Alwar Thirunagar. The doctor along with one of her friends was travelling towards Poonamallee.

According to Police, when the medico was driving on the Outer Ring Road, she lost control of the steering, and instead of applying brakes, she pressed the accelerator, reports Times of India.

Thus, she failed to drive into the service lane and the car rushed into the main road. The car injured a group of four people who were standing nearby. The group included a 12-year-old child as well, who escaped with minor injuries.

A few days ago another road accident was reported in Chennai, wherein, a doctor had died.
