Depressed over not getting MBBS seat, 4th year BDS student hangs self
Hyderabad: Depressed over not being able to secure an MBBS seat, a final year dental student attached to Army College of Dental Sciences, Jawaharnagar allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her hostel room on Saturday.
As per a recent media report by Times of India, the deceased has been identified as a 25-year-old fourth year BDS student who was residing in the institution's hostel. However, she was suffering from depression as she could not secure an MBBS seat.
Medical Dialogues team had earlier reported another suicide case, wherein a first-year MBBS student of Government Medical College in Siddipet had also allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his hostel room. A suicide note was secured from his room where he mentioned that rejection in love forced him to take the extreme step.
