After Modi Cabinet 2.0, major rejig in UP, 51 CMOs transferred
Lucknow: Days after a major rejigs in Modi Cabinet 2.0, now Uttar Pradesh Government has reshuffled the medical department by transferring 51 Chief Medical Officers (CMOs). The Yogi Government, on Thursday issued a transfer order posting new CMOs in 27 districts.
The state government has directed that all the CMOs should be relieved of their duties with immediate effect and take up their new postings and duties.
Among the major changes, Dr. Deepak Ohri, Chief Medical Officer of Gautam Budh Nagar has been removed from the post of CMO of Gautam Budh Nagar and has been appointed as the Joint Director to Saharanpur, while Additional Chief Medical Officer of Meerut, Dr Sunil Sharma will now take over as the CMO of Gautam Budh Nagar.
Ghaziabad CMO, Dr Narendra Kumar Gupta has also been sent to Saharanpur as Joint Director. In his place, Bulandshahr CMO Dr Bhavtosh Shankhdhar has been entrusted with the responsibility of Chief Medical Officer in Ghaziabad.
As far as the state capital is concerned, Dr Manoj Aggarwal has been appointed as the new Chief Medical Officer of Lucknow, before that he was serving in Lakhimpur Kheri. While Dr Brijesh Kumar Singh Chauhan has been made Joint Director in Lucknow, he was earlier CMO of Barabanki.
Further, Dr. Gopal Krishna Maheshwari has been shifted from Fatehpur and appointed as Joint Director in Kanpur. Dr Rajendra Singh has been removed from Kanpur Zone Director and made CMO of Fatehpur. Dr. Narayan Chaturvedi has been appointed as the Joint Director in Lucknow, earlier he was the CMO of Kaushambi. Dr Kamal Chandra Rai has been made the CMO of Kaushambi.

Sanchari Chattopadhyay has pursued her M.A in English and Culture Studies from the University of Burdwan, West Bengal. She likes observing cultural specificities and exploring new places.
