Doctors' body seeks fair probe into death of BRD medical college MBBS student

Road Accident
Gorakhpur: A third-year MBBS student at Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College in Gorakhpur, died after sustaining critical injuries in a road accident, leaving the medical fraternity deeply shocked and saddened. Local police initiated an investigation into the incident.
The Democratic Medical Association (DMA) expressed condolences to the bereaved family and urged authorities to ensure a transparent and time-bound probe. The association stated that a fair investigation is necessary to deliver justice and prevent negligence on roads.
According to a recent report by UNI, the medical fraternity has been left deeply saddened by the tragic demise of the MBBS student after he lost his life in a road accident. The untimely death of the young and aspiring doctor has sent shockwaves among medical students and doctors across the region.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the student sustained critical injuries in a road accident in Gorakhpur. Despite efforts to provide medical assistance, he succumbed to his injuries, leaving his family, friends, and colleagues in deep grief. Local authorities and the police responded promptly to the incident and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The Democratic Medical Association (DMA) expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and courage for them during this extremely difficult time.
Representatives of the association, including Dr. Suraj Chauhan, Dr. Ishmeet Kaur, Dr. Bharat Gupta, Dr. Aryan Srivastava, and Dr. Harsh Jaiswal, expressed deep concern over the incident. They stated that the untimely loss of a young medical student is extremely unfortunate and deeply disturbing for the entire medical community.
While appreciating the prompt efforts undertaken by the Uttar Pradesh Police and the local administration in Gorakhpur in responding to the incident, DMA also urged the authorities to ensure that the investigation is conducted in a transparent, fair, and time-bound manner so that justice is delivered and accountability is ensured.
The association stated that a thorough and impartial investigation will not only bring justice to the bereaved family but will also strengthen public trust in the rule of law and act as a deterrent against negligence on the roads.
The Democratic Medical Association expressed hope that the concerned authorities will continue their diligent efforts to ensure that the truth is established and justice is delivered.
