Congratulating Akanksha for her success, Yogi stated, "Akanksha by scoring 720 out of 720 marks has made her town Kushinagar as well as entire Uttar Pradesh proud. Not only for students of her age, but Akanksha is a role model for every girl." The Chief Minister also inspired her to pursue her dreams and work hard to achieve the goals she has set for herself.
The CM will also be writing a letter to the NEET board asking to rank her first topper. Akanksha secured 2nd position under the exam rules which state that in the case of a tie, the younger one will get the 2nd position.
Felicitating Akanksha's parents with Shawl and Akanksha and her brother with android tablet, the CM also asked her father, Rajendra Kumar Rao, who was a sergeant in the Indian Airforce Force, to inspire today's youth to join IAF.
Notably, Akanksha's father took early retirement in 2017 to support her throughout her NEET preparations. Her mother, Ruchi Singh works as a teacher in a government school in Kushinagar.
Expressing her emotions after meeting Chief Minister , Akanksha said, "This was my dream to meet Yogiji, and today after standing in front of him, I have fallen short of words to express my feelings." Sharing the success mantra with the fellow students, Akanksha said that smart work is also required with hard work. "Instead of getting depressed from failure, you must learn from it and make a planned strategy to achieve success next time," she added.
The topper also expressed her desire to pursue research in Neuro Surgery after completing her MBBS from AIIMS, Delhi.
The function was also attended by state cabinet minister Suresh Khanna, Chief Secretary R K Tiwari, and other leaders.
