KGMU BDS intern dies in road accident
Lucknow: In a tragic incident, a BDS intern at the King George's Medical University (KGMU) was mowed down by a truck near her house on IIM road while she was on her way to the medical university on a two-wheeler.
According to the IANS report, the deceased dental intern has been identified as a 2019 batch BDS student.
The victim succumbed to injuries on the spot. The driver managed to flee from the spot while the truck was seized, the police informed IANS.

An FIR was lodged by her father Dr Kumar regarding the incident. He is working with the state government and posted in Alamnagar.
Prof Soniya Nityanand, vice-chancellor KGMU, said, “The death has shocked us and the entire KGMU fraternity is with her family.”
Dr Kumar told police that his daughter, 26, had left the house on her scooty for medical college and reached about 100 metres in front of Sahara City Home Gate when a truck coming from behind hit her.

Two days ago, Medical Dialogues reported that two second-year medical students of Maharajas Group of Institutions at Kondampatti allegedly lost their lives in a road accident after their motorcycle crashed into the rear of an unidentified four-wheeler vehicle near Arasampalayam Pirivu on the Coimbatore-Pollachi Main Road. Both natives of Maharashtra tragically died from fatal head injuries after being thrown from their two-wheeler in the collision, resulting in their immediate death on the road.
The accident occurred while they were returning home which is a rental house at Lakshmi Nagar in Kinathukadavu after having tea from a shop in the evening on Thursday.
