Professor Vivekanand Jha is the Executive Director at The George Institute for Global Health, India, and the Chair of Global Kidney Health at Imperial College London. He is also a Conjoint Professor of Medicine at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and a Professor at the Prasanna School of Public Health, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, India. With a PhD, he served as the Immediate Past President of the International Society of Nephrology from 2019 to 2021. His research focuses on the global health impact of kidney diseases, particularly on developing affordable and scalable prevention strategies. Professor Jha has worked extensively with organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO) to create clinical practice guidelines and advocacy papers. A prolific writer, editor, and global lecturer, he has made significant contributions to nephrology research and education worldwide.
